Did you know that Moms with smartphones spend an average of 6.1 hours a day on their phone*? Alt12, which has more than 1.2 million active users across its popular BabyBump, PinkPad and Kidfolio apps, has just launched a new mobile commerce store. What makes this different than other apps and commerce stores is that you can now find and purchase quality baby, children and parenting products that have been thoroughly tested and given a seal of approval by Alt12 right from their popular apps! Alt12 puts its more than 600 and growing store products through an extensive vetting process, and reviews and recommends them based on the following criteria: Design, Innovation, Responsibility, Eco-Friendliness, Makes Life Easier, and Award-winning/Tested. It also offers cultivated “Mommy Profiles” – such as ‘High Tech Moms’ and ‘Eco Moms’ – for consumers who don’t want to spend time scouring the web for the perfect product for their particular needs.
I downloaded all 3 of the apps and have been playing around with them. You can use the same profile to log in to all 3 apps or even sign in with Facebook. They are all free apps that you can choose to upgrade if you love them as much as I do.
KidFolio app is a free digital scrapbook app and social network for parents.

When you first download the app it will take a minute to add yourself and your children’s info..especially if you are like me and have FIVE kids! This app is really great for putting together a baby book and learning more about developmental milestones of the average child your child’s age. There is daily and weekly parenting information to help you learn something new about your child’s development and being a parent.

The commerce store is full of parenting and children’s products! There is also a community of parents you can exchange advice, milestones, recommendations, funny stories and everything parenting related with.
PinkPad app is a really great for all girls. It is a free menstrual and fertility tracker app with a social health network for women.

When you first launch PinkPad you put in your name and the details of your last cycle it will then start calculating and can give you an estimation of when you will ovulate and when your next period will be which will help you time vacations and other activities around that time of the month. You can also monitor and track your moods, symptoms, weight, temperature and other menstrual related progress. This app is really great if you are trying to conceive because it calculates a chart for you so you can time when you will be ovulating as well as track your temps for the perfect time.

With the social network you can join in with other women for health and lifestyle conversations. It’s super easy to join in and post and reply to messages. There is, of course, the awesome commerce store that you can get to straight from the app to check out and purchase great products from fertility to women’s health and wellness products.
The BabyBump app is so cool! It is a free pregnancy app and community for expecting parents. I wish it was around when I was pregnant with my other babies.

You put in your name and LMP or due date then it calculates and gives you weekly updates on the average baby size and weight as well as a bunch of milestones like how the baby is progressing and how mommies body may be changing. You can add a weekly photo from your phone to make it more personal and watch that baby bump grow.

There is also a community you can join and get to know other pregnant mommies. Then of course there is the commerce store where you can purchase fun products for pregnancy and baby!

I use the babybump app now! I’ll have to check out the pinkapp for when it’s that time again and of course the shopping app. Not that I need more reasons to shop!

I actually use the PinkPad app already! I have for a couple of years now – it’s super easy to use and always keeps track of things. The BabyBump app would have been cool to have this last pregnancy. I’ll have to remember it should a baby #4 ever be in my future.
