Most kids do not like to read, I know parents whose children think of reading the same way they think about doing chores but my children are different they all absolutely love to read but it wasn’t always like this. My oldest used to hate reading I wasn’t sure where I had gone wrong with him since I love to read and his siblings love to read. Finally one day a couple years ago my son brought home his first Captain Underpants book from school, he read the entire book over the weekend and loved it so much he asked me if we could buy the next one and has been absolutely obsessed with the series since! So when I got the opportunity to check out the newest book in the series I said yes immediately. I LOVE that my child loves to read thanks to this series, ya it’s full of potty talk but it’s what interests little boys and has ignited my sons love for reading so I love Dav Pilkey!
When I told Tray we were getting the latest book in the series, Captain Underpants and the Revolting Revenge of the Radioactive Robo-Boxers, he was so excited he checked the mail twice a day to see if it was here yet. Once it did show up he had read the entire book in less than an hour!
Tray says the book is “AWESOME! It’s so funny and it shows the Ook & Gluk comics, another series written by Dav Pilkey, which is great!” He says that all his friends should read it because they will love it.
