Being a techy family my kids absolutely love playing on my iPad, in fact I think they may be better than I am at the games and apps we use! I love educational apps that hold my children’s attention and secretly teach them while having fun. Elately has developed iTrace, a new app for the iPad, that makes learning how to write letters, numbers and words super fun for your kiddos. I actually loved the idea of this app so much that I purchased it myself because I knew my little ones could benefit from learning with iTrace.

Dot is going to be turning 3 very soon and so I would like to start introducing her to writing her name and getting her ready for pre-school. Since she loves the iPad and the ability to use the touch screen to play games I figured this would be a super fun way to start teaching her! She has a long long way to go before she masters letter formation but at least the foundation is set.
My 4 year old is starting to learn how to form his letters but is still very shaky and not very confident in his writing ability but with the help of iTrace he is starting to form the letters a bit better since iTrace actually teaches them the correct letter formation.

I love that both of my younger children can use and store their information since the app is made for multiple users. I also love the history section for the app because it allows you to look back at your children’s work and see what they have accomplished and where they still need improvement.
Once your children have mastered writing upper case and lower case letters you can move on to numbers and even words. My 6 year old does not have the best handwriting so we use the words section for him to help him form his words correctly rather than all over the place with huge spaces.

iTrace is a must have app if you have young children! You can download iTrace at the App Store for $3.99, definitely check it out!

This looks like a fun safe app for the kidos to learn their alphabet. I may have to get it to keep them entertained.
I think I will download this app for my son – he is getting pretty good with his letters but none of the letter apps hold his attention
