Exergen Temporal Scanner #BabyLove #Giveaway

Back in 2010 I reviewed the Exergen Temporal Scanner and it is still my go to thermometer! It has been the most accurate way to take my children’s temperatures and has eased my mind and freaked me out, when my temp got up to 105 this pregnancy, over the last 2+ years! I’ve never been a fan of rectal thermometers and the ear thermometers were too big for a baby’s ear, I also found that the readings were inconsistent and unreliable unless you get it in the ear just right. The Exergen has been a huge life saver for us!

I did a little vlog review back in 2010 just to show you how easy and non-invasive it is to use. You can check it out here:

Look how little Dot was!

Some facts about Exergen:
What does the TemporalScanner™ measure?
With a gentle stroke of the forehead it captures the naturally emitted heat from the skin over the temporal artery, taking 1,000 readings per second, selecting the most accurate. With its patented Arterial Heat Balance system the TemporalScanner measures ambient temperatures, mathematically replaces the small temperature loss from cooling at the skin, and displays an accurate arterial temperature.
Why is it more accurate than ear temperature?
A major reason ear thermometers are considered inaccurate by medical professionals is because the positioning of the probe in the ear canal is inconsistent, thus creating inconsistent readings and frequently missing fevers. The temporal artery thermometer scans the forehead area for the temporal artery and it is almost impossible to miss the artery during a scan.

Now I wont take my children’s temperatures any other way! We bought an Exergen for my sisters house and my mothers house because we love it that much! It has outlasted any of our other thermometers and that is why I decided to add it in with our Baby Love must haves!

Buy it!
You can purchase the Exergen Tempral Scanner from Wal-Mart, BabiesR’Us, ToysR’Us, & Walgreens for around $40.

Win it!
One lucky reader will win their very own Exergen Temporal Scanner!
